Gobble & Go Hippo

gobble go hippo
The Fisher Price Gobble & Go Hippo starts off as a push-along walker to help your child learn the balance and stability they need, and then it converts to a ride-on toy which has a great gobbling action which is sure to keep your child entertained for many hours. The walking handle is soft and easy to grip, so your early walker will love taking his/her first steps while pushing this lovable hippo around. Designed for children ages nine months to two years, your child is sure to have fun for many years as they push and then ride the Gobble & Go hippo.

Included with the Gobble & Go Hippo are several different blocks which feature different foods, encouraging children to enjoy the same foods as their Gobble & Go Hippo. Cereal, carrots, broccoli, pie, and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich are all features on the blocks that the hippo gobbles.

The conversion process is made entirely easy by a simple process, which operates entirely by pulling up the yellow seat in order to form a push bar. If your child wants to ride the hippo again, you simply need to press a small button to lower the seat, so you'll have a riding toy for your child.

Overall, parents were pleased with the Fisher Price Gobble & Go Hippo. Many cited their children as having hours of fun with the toy, and the ability to convert it from a push along toy to a riding toy was a great plus in many books. However, there were a few complaints. Some parents felt that the mechanism which is inside the hippo's mouth is almost too soft, so it doesn't gobble the blocks properly and leaves them simply scooting along inside the hippo's mouth. The mechanism is designed to be soft since children will inevitably stick their hands in the hippo's mouth. While this was cited as a problem, many parents didn't feel it diminished from their child's enjoyment of the toy, as many kids were perfectly content fetching the blocks from the hippo's mouth instead of his belly under the seat.

The Gobble & Go Hippo comes fully assembled, so there are no extra tools required in order to put the toy together for your child to start using it immediately. Because of this, many parents were pleased, as the anticipation of waiting for toys to be put together can lessen a child's enjoyment if the product takes too long. This was not the case with the Gobble & Go Hippo.
